He married SARAH JANE SPRADLIN, daughter of JAMES SPRADLIN and MARY OSBORNE. She was born 15 Jul 1842 in GA, and died 04 May 1920 in Tishamingo County, MS.

Mustered in 2 Sept 1862 at Howells store by Maj Warren. Traveled 65 miles. Horses value set at $150. Appears on roll of POW recd at Camp Chase, Ohio from Louisville, KY 18 Oct 1864, Captured at Huntsville, AL 30 Sept 1964. Name appears as signature on Oath of Allegiance at Camp Chase Ohio, 11 June 1865, place of residence listed at Marion County, AL. Complexion dark, hair dark, eyes blk, height 5 ft 10 inches, age 27.
