Ruth Mathieu, 69, died Monday, Aug. 31, 2009, at Golden Living Center in Tupelo. She was born March 8, 1940, in Belmont to Richard "R.A." and Lora Wigginton Weathers, who preceded her in death. She was a nurses aid and a member of Fairview Holy Church of Christ.
Services were at Fairview Holy Church of Christ in Belmont with burial in Belmont City Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home of Belmont was in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors included her husband, Rex Mathieu of Belmont; one son, Brandon Mathieu of Kentucky; and one brother, Dean Weathers of Belmont.
