Iuka – Eric Compton, 35, died Aug. 26, 2009, as the result of an automobile accident on Hwy. 72 in Glen. He was a member of Local 852 IBEW in Corinth. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and loved spending time with his family.
Services were at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka. Burial was in Carpenter Cemetery.
Survivors included his wife, Susan Compton of Iuka; his mother, Dorthey Compton of Iuka; one son, Eric Riley Compton of Iuka; two daughters, Brett Compton and Haylee Compton, both of Iuka; one sister, Valerie Crawford of Pontotoc.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jackie Compton, and his grandmothers, Georgia Mae Compton and Florence Atkins.
