Shirley M. Kimmins, 82, died Aug. 18, 2009, at her residence. She was born March 19, 1927, in Chicago to John and Edna Peterson Andersen. She was retired from General Motors.
Survivors included two sons, John B. Kimmins of Spring, Texas, and Bill Kimmins (Belinda) of Golden; five grandchildren, Tina Stokes and Amanda Kimmins, both of Michigan, Jason Meyers (Debi) of Singer Island, Fla., Derek Jackson (Jennifer) of Rienzi and Lauren Hope Jackson of Golden; two great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Jean Anderson of San Jose, Calif.; a cousin, Amy Henderson of Rensselaer, Ind.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert D. Kimmins; her parents; and a brother, John Andersen.
