Belmont - Lora Weathers, 88, died Monday, Aug. 10, 2009, at her home. She was born Oct. 9, 1920, in Tishomingo County to Newton Cephie and Ollie Credille Wigginton. She was an employee of Blue Bell for 30 years and a member of Fairview Holy Church of Christ.
Services were at Fairview Holy Church of Christ. Burial was in Belmont City Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home of Belmont was in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors included one son, Dean Weathers of Belmont; one daughter, Ruth Mathieu (Rex) of Belmont; one grandson, Brandon Mathieu of Paducah, Ky.; and one brother, Charlie Wigginton (Joyce) of Red Bay, Ala.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard A. Weathers; her parents; and two brothers, Buel Wigginton and Waymon Wigginton.
