Dennis - Nellie Mae Wooten, 82, died June 19, 2009, at her residence. She was born Dec. 4, 1927, in Cotton Springs to the late Cecil and Dolly Adams Leathers. She was retired from Blue Bell and HIS and was a member of Mt. Carmel Church of God of Prophecy.
Services were at the Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Belmont with burial in the Joel Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home of Belmont wan charge of the arrangements.
Survivors included five sons, W.D. Wooten (Mable), Jimmy Wooten (Peggy), Nathan Wooten, Larry Wooten (Linda) and Donnie Wooten (Teresa), all of Dennis; one daughter, Ann Nunley (Vernon) of Cherokee, Ala.; 16 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Nim Wooten; her granddaughter, Melissa Ruple; her grandson, Nathan Nunley; her parents; five brothers; and three sisters.
