Belmont - Darrell Goddard, 77, died June 18, 2009, at the VA Medical Center in Memphis. He was born Jan. 26, 1932, in Prentiss County to Vernon Odell and Bernice Deaton Goddard. He had been an employee of Blue Bell and attended the Methodist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the Korean conflict.
Services were at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Belmont with burial in Tishomingo City Cemetery in Tishomingo.
Survivors included his wife, Dorothy Goddard of Belmont; three children, Danny Goddard (Phyllis), Teresa McClain (Alan) and Randy Goddard (Michelle), all of Belmont; his mother, Bernice Goddard of Belmont; one sister, Patsy Mitchum (Tom Black) of Conyers, Ga.; two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, T.C. Goddard.
