Belmont – Nathanial Cyrus Dawson III, 37, died May 10, 2009, at his residence. He was born Oct. 15, 1971, in Boise, Idaho, to Allen and Carol Christiansen Dawson. He was a police officer for 10 years.
Services were at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Belmont.
Survivors included his wife, April Dawson of Belmont; two children, Kayla Dawson and Austin Dawson of Belmont, Ms.; his mother, Carol Jane Hawkins of Belmont; 10 brothers and sisters, Jerry Wayne Hawkins of Decatur, Ala., Verlon Keith Hawkins of Ridgeway, Ill., George V. Hawkins Jr. of Red Bay, Ala., Sheila Giddens of Tuscumbia, Ala., Debbie Skinner of Guntown, Vernita Hawkins of Saltillo, Tina Prichett of Shawneetown, Ill., Cari Payne (Phillip Vick) of Tremont and Christi Knight of Belmont; his grandmother, Wilma Young of Eatonville, Wash.; his father- and mother-in-law, Larry and Connie Manues Sr.; brother-in-law, Larry Manues Jr.; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father and his stepfather, George Hawkins Sr.
