Thomas Mark “Mudd” Owen, 45, died April 11, 2009, at the Resthaven Nursing Home in Ripley after an extended illness. He was an auto car hauler and a member of the Jericho Baptist Church. He enjoyed NASCAR, bowling, billiards, fishing, Mickey Mouse and his dog, Ginger.
Services were at Waters Funeral Home with Broburial in the Camp Creek Cemetery. Waters Funeral Home of Baldwyn was in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors included his mother, Myrtle Mae Owen of Alpine; sister, Frances Morris (Frank) of Alpine; niece, Felisha Rowland (Robby) of Ripley; great-nieces, Tuesdae Rowland and Page Rowland of Ripley; and his special friend, Betty Owen of Corinth.
He was preceded in death by his father, Holbert Owen; and sister, Shirley Jett.
