Senatobia - MARY FRANCES McKINNON LEVERETTE, 79, passed away November 18, 2007 at her home after a short illness. Born on November 18, 1928 she was a life-long Tate County resident. She graduated from Northwest Community College with a Business degree and worked for a number of years as the office manager for Hayes Cotton Company. She was an honorary Lady Colonel on the staff of Governor Paul B. Johnson, Jr., a DAR member, a charter member of the Tate County Historical Society (Serving as the Secretary/Treasure for a number of years), served as secretary for two years for Northwest Community College Alumni Association and she was a member of the First Baptist Church of Senatobia. She was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Leverette; parents, Anse and Lois McKinnon; sister, Kaye McKinnon and brothers, Charles and Kenneth McKinnon. She is survived by her two daughters and their spouse; Linda Kate and Charles Burks; Judy and Brad Maples and three grandchildren, Stephanie K. Moore, Beau Dollahite and James Bryce Maples. Graveside services will be conducted by Dr. John Flowers at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, November 20 in Bethesda Cemetery in Senatobia.
