SENATOBIA - Mary Ella Plair, 71, died Oct. 26, 2007, at the North Oak Regional Medical Center. She was a cook and a member of Freespring CME Church.
Services were at Freespring CME Church in Como. Burial was in the church cemetery. Felix Cauthen Funeral Home of Senatobia was in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors included five daughters, Alice Cole and Annie Lou Geter, both of Tupelo, Annette Plair and Teresa Geter, both of Senatobia, and Mary Louise Virgil of Como; three sons, Wallace Johnson of Memphis, Walter Johnson of Southaven and Allen Plair of Holly Springs; one sister, Ruby Greer of Como; four brothers, Joe C. Gardner of Batesville, Jerry Gardner of Como, Willie Joe Gardner of St. Louis, Mo., and Charles Herod of Memphis; 18 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren.
