Edward, I looked in the 2008 edition of "Smith County Mississippi Cemeteries" compiled and published by the Smith County Genealogical Society. There is a T.W. TRAXLER listed on Page 633 (Row 11 - Gravesite #3) in the Old Polkville Cemetery. He is noted to have been born 9/12/1856 and died 1/15/1926. This cemetery is located about 1/4 mile west on County Road 148 (off SH 13). I bet you know where the cemetery is - the question now is if this "T.W." is your "Thomas William". Oh, to find Row 11, go into the cemetery by the main gate and go left at the end of the fence. Then go to the far left and rows are from left to right.

A copy of this cemetery book is available at the Raleigh Library. It was done this year by the Society to update the 2003 edition in an effort to inventory and publish for future reference all known cemeteries in the County.
