In the 1850 census for Smith Co, MS. John Thomas is listed as 81 born in N.C.. Keziah Thomas is listed as 66 born in S.C.. They are in home 463. I believe Keziah to be Keziah Brown d/o Samuel & Mary (Mooney) Hickson Brown of Simpson Co., MS.. By the 1837 WILL of Samuel Brown, Keziah was listed as Keziah Thomas.
Children may have been: Green Young Thomas, Andrew Jackson Thomas, John Brown Thomas, Caroline Thomas, Jesse R. Thomas, and William M. Thomas.
A Caroline Lucinda Thomas was married to John Houston Howie
She may have been the daughter of William (M?) Thomas & Matilda Wiseman of Smith Co., MS.
Although Keziah is listed as born in S.C. I believe she was born at Wrightsboro, Richmond Co. (1790 Columbia Co.), GA. A lot of info out there says Samuel Brown was from S.C. but that is not true at least can't be proven.
Any descendant of John & Keziah Thomas out there Please contact me.
