Ok, I will start researching the MA line to see what I can find.

Now on to my mother's side of the family. While researching my maternal gr gr grandmother I found this in your Peter Helton descendants: ............................... 5 [79] Evaline Louvina Helton b 1: Abt. 1823 in Kentucky src: Family Tree Maker, CD 301 Census Microfilm Records: Illinois 1850 b 2: in Shelby Co., Illinois or Knox Co., Kentucky src: The Descendants of

Francis Muncy I with Allied Families (Revised Edition) b 3: 1823 in Knox Co., Kentucky

................................... +[80] William Miller b: Abt. 1822 in New York src: Family Tree Maker, CD 301 Census Microfilm Records: Illinois 1850 m: March 15, 1845 in Moultrie Co., Illinois Father: ??? Miller Mother: Elizabeth ???

....................................... 6 [81] Melvina Miller

....................................... 6 [82] Mary Miller

........................................... +[83] George Smith

....................................... 6 [84] Henry O. Miller b: Abt. 1847 in Illinois src: Family Tree Maker, CD 301 Census Microfilm Records: Illinois 1850

....................................... 6 [3] Louvinia Miller b: 1849 d: June 23, 1878

........................................... +[85] Martin S. Neighbor m: March 28, 1866

....................................... *2nd Husband of [3] Louvinia Miller:

........................................... +[86] C. W. King m: June 23, 1878

My gr gr grandmother was Luvina Miller King. She was born in 1852 in Shelby Co IL and died there in 1829. She did marry C.W. (Charles Wesley)King on June 23, 1878. The IL death records show her parents as William Miller and Emilie Helton. She was never married to Martin Neighbor as I traced that further and found census with them in another state at the same time Luvina was still in IL. I have a strong feeling that Evaline Louvina Helton is my Emilie Helton.

Would I need to take a mitachondrial (sp) DNA to confirm this? My mother always told me we had a Cherokee line through her great grandmother. Photos of Luvine have strong characteristics.

I deeply appreciate all of your help in this! I have been doing this for several years now but am still a novice.
