Vickie that set of Hilton/Heltons was in MS very early. I found a Benjamin Hilton that had fought in the War of 1812 out of MS. Zadoc comes right out of SC before the 1800's. I would believe this is the family you aretalking about. We also had a Ransom in our family that was definitely Native American. He died in Alabama. I followed your family for awhile but without the DNA didnt know if they were kin folks are not.

What was your DNA if you dont mind me asking. Ours was Q3 or Native American.

Blessings Mike There were Benjamin Hiltons in Mass. and then a lot of those Helton/Hiltons moved to SC. I tend to think this is your family. If you get a chance look up the War of 1812 on Fold 3 and see the information on Benjamin.
