I connect to Susannah Ratliff through her second marriage to Isaac Cavender. Would like to learn who her parents and siblings were. I am including some "hints and tidbits" about her that may be helpful to other descendants.

Isaac Cavender's first wife was Susannah Tagert, the widow of Jacob Tagert, who died in Sumter county, AL in Oct. 1834. Susannah Tagert moved to Rankin county, MS circa Dec. 1834, buying a piece of property there near Ratliff's Ferry(near the Pearl River).
She was married to Isaac Cavender in Rankin county in 1836 and died circa 1845. See the Mississippi GenWeb site for Rankin county for the record of their marriage in Rankin county (spelled Tygret).
See BLM-GLO site for record of Susannah's purchase of land in Rankin county (spelled Tigot). It is the property description of this piece of property & transactions relating to it that positively link all parties involved.
Susannah Tagert's previous children (James Westland Tagert, John Wesley Tagert, William Asbury Tagert & Sarah Elizabeth Tagert) by Jacob Tagert are listed in Power of Attorney from Isaac Cavender to James Roberts in Rankin county dated Nov 12, 1850.
Marengo county, AL census of 1830 shows Jacob Tagert with adult female & three males under the age of ten. Elisabeth Tagert (spelled Tagget) is listed in the 1850 census of Rankin county with John & Nancy Downs, next to the Cavender family(spelled Cavenah).
Isaac Cavender, Sr. is buried in Atascosa county, TX in Poteet, TX. Isaac Cavender & family moved to Texas circa 1855. Other relatives are buried in Shiloh Cemetery, Atascosa county. First burial in Shiloh was John Albert Uzzell, son of Thomas Wilkerson Uzzle, said to be a relative of Isaac Cavender. How was he related?? At least one source lists Isaac Cavender's second wife as Susan Tomlinson. Isaac Cavender's probate is available at Atascosa county courthouse.

1) Susannah A. RATLIFF first marriage was to Jacob TAGERT. She had 4 children with Jacob:
William Asbury Tagert
John Wesley Tagert
James (Westland?) Tagert
Sarah Elizabeth Tagert
All the boys were born around 1830 to 1834 in AL. The girl was born in MS after Jacob's death around 1835.
Susannah married Isaac CAVENDER after Jacob's death and she moves to MS. They had 5 children that I know of. She died shortly after the birth of the last child as far as I can gather.
He then married widow Susan (Tomlin) Kinnard and eventually moved to TX., and had more children with her.
