Billy Gene Crawley, 77, died Sept. 22, 2009, at the V.A. Regional Medical Center in Memphis. He was born Nov. 23, 1931, in Prentiss County to James Thomas and Edna Mae Leathers Crawley. He was a retired apartment manager and a Mormon. He was a U.S. Navy veteran.
Private family funeral services will be held at a later date. Burial will be in the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. McMillan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by three sisters, Mildred Henson of Booneville, Beatrice Ricks of Callahan, Fla., and Mayno Senter of Booneville; one brother, B. Wayne Crawley of Memphis; a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Lila Mae Williams, Annie Lou Thomas, Pauline Downs and Lamoise Madison; and a brother, C.D. Crawley.
