New Site – Mable Edwards Johnson, 83, died June 10, 2009, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville. She was a member of the Siloam United Methodist Church. She was a housemaker, and a devoted wife and mother.
Services were at Siloam United Methodist Church. Burial was in the Siloam Cemetery. McMillan Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors included three daughters, Carolyn (Benny) Taylor and Judy (Wayne) Stutts, all of New Site, and Debra (Jackie) Searcy of Saucier Creek; two sons, Stanley Johnson and Clifford F. “Bo” (Lisa) Johnson, all of New Site; two sisters, Ann Adams of Paragould, Ark., and Shirley McAlister of Jericho, Ark.; nine grandchildren, Doug Taylor, Rod Taylor, Jacqulin Deaton, David Johnson, Anthony Searcy, Paul Johnson, Morgan Johnson, Daniel Stutts and Hannah Johnson; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, A.F. Johnson, and two sisters, Flossie Marotti and Relda Brand.
