Vester Eugene Belue, 82, died May 19, 2009, in the Burton community of Prentiss County. He was born Jan. 24, 1927, in Prentiss County to Thomas Olen Belue and Sarah Emma Martin Belue. He was a truck driver. He enjoyed fishing.
Services were at the Booneville Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Fairview Church of God Cemetery.
Survivors included three sons, Earl Holland (Bootsie) of Burton, Ronnie Lee Belue of Tishomingo and Harold Dean Belue (Susan) of Hamilton, Ala.; a daughter, Dorothy Lynn Russell (Raines) of Tishomingo; a sister, Virginia Skeens of Napoleon, Ohio; 11 grandchildren, Chris Holland, Debra Lane, Tammy Banegas, Amanda Belue, Jason Russell, Eric Russell, Scotty Belue, Rodney Belue, Sandra Belue, Lisa Wojtowicz and Randy Belue; and 28 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha Ilene Holland Belue, in 2004; four brothers, Hughey Belue, William Belue, Herbert Hall and Hollis Belue; a sister, Christine Floyd; and a grandson, Michael Belue.
