Cook, Barksdale, and Brabham families 1811-1900's

Looking for information about the MICHAEL COOK family living in Pike County, Mississippi near Magnolia.

Would like to contact other Cook descendents and am looking specifically for proof of parentage for:
Michael COOK
Nancy BARKSDALE (Michael Cook's 2nd wife)

Michael Cook was born 1809 in Hancock Co., Georgia and his parent's are thought to be Thomas COOK and Melbry MORRIS (not proven yet) who moved to Pike Co., MS around 1811.

Michael Cook married Nancy Barksdale before 1850.

Nancy Barksdale (b. 1826) is thought to be daughter of William Fleming BARKSDALE and Rosanna SMITH (not proven yet). Any information regarding Rosanna Smith's background would also be helpful.

I am descended from Michael and Nancy through their daughter, Rosaline Josephine COOK and her husband John Hansford BRABHAM.

Thank you
