I have been trying to find my father's family history with not much luck. His mother was Martha Lee Kemp, and her parents were Wyatt Eugene Kemp and Martha Lee Braddy and they lived in Central Louisiana. However, Wyatt's family was from Mississippi and he lived there for a short while as a child. My dad believes that his father was Elijah Kemp and he remembers an Aunt Cordie and an Aunt Rose. He also recalls an Aunt Delia and Uncle Ivy. I ran across a census from Osyka Pike, Mississippi (which my dad believes is the right area) that lists Elijah Kemp, and his children Wyatt, Emma, Rosa, Carry, Ophelia and Cordelia. Does anyone know if this may be the right family and if there was another son born after Cordelia named Ivy? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
