There was a large family of Barrons who settled in Winston County in the early-mid 1800's. They lived in northern Winston near Choctaw County, and some lived in Choctaw. I suspect your Oktibbeha County Barrons are part of this group. Try posting your message on the query boards for Winston and Choctaw counties on both GenForum and Rootsweb. Here is the address for the MS Rootsweb page where you can access both county pages. Good luck!

By the way, I have in my family a Sarah (Sallie) Barron who married James Whitten in Winston in 1867. Her parents were Almond and Fannie Barron. If you find them in your family, I can help you some with Almond's ancestors.
