Janet,

I am looking for a cemetery record for:

William Green BOOTH
b. 1831 or 1832 and died between 1875 and 1880

The family story says he was shot on the courthouse steps by a Yankee carpetbagger, but this may be some embellishment. I do believe he was County Clerk for a time.

Any BOOTHs in the county in the 1860s through the 1880s would be of interest to me.
