Edith Geneva Ritter, 72, died June 1, 1989 at the Gilmore Memorial Hospital after an extended illness. She was formerly of Lee County, an employee of Monroe Trousers for 40 years, a member of the Hatley Primitive Baptist Church and was the widow of the late Henry Forrest Ritter. Services were June 2 at the Pickle Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Hatley Cemetery.
Survivors included two daughters, Betty Golloway of Amory, Malinda Jean Thornton of Amory; two brothers, Hortis Johnston of Nettleton and Ruble Johnston of South Bend, Ind.; two sisters, Lois Anderson of Aberdeen and Dollie Caldwell of Nettleton; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
