Hattie Mae Pounders, 86, of Amory, died March 2, 1994 at the Amory Manor Nursing Home after a long illness. She was born in Alabama and lived in Becker most of her life. She was a member of the Becker Baptist Church and a homemaker. She was the widow of Durwood K. Pounders, who died in 1962. Services were March 4 at Pickle Funeral Home with burial in the Center Hill Cemetery.
Survivors included two sons, Jimmy W. Pounders of Nettleton and Marvin Ray Pounders of Baltimore, Md.; two daughters, Lydia Cooper of Thaxton, Va., and Mattie Faye Mixon of Freeport, Fla.; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
