I am trying to locate the grave of my great-great-grandfather, William Walter Bagby. He was a Captain in the CSA, Company F, 6th Kentucky Mounted Cavalry (a part of the Orphan's Brigade). He was a native of Barren County, Kentucky. He was wounded at the Battle of Shiloh on April 7, 1862 and died in July 1862. According to his service record he was buried near Okolona, Monroe Co., Mississippi. A book written about the civil war titled: "A History of the Orphan's Brigade" states he was buried in a private cemetery of two maiden sisters who cared for him on the farm of a Mr. Ed Trewitt. I have not been able to find any info. on Mr. Trewitt or determine the names of the two sisters. Any info. anyone can give me to help locate this grave would be most appreciated. According to family history, this grave was located in the 1940's but we have no records of the location. Thank you.
