Aberdeen - Ann Cantrell McCormick Morgan, 68, died on Sunday, Aug. 21, 2011, at the Care Center of Aberdeen. Born on June 16, 1943, in Monroe County, she was a daughter of the late Lawrence Jewel and Myrtle Marie Stanford Cantrell. She attended Amory High School. She married Sidney Morgan on Feb. 3, 1980. Before becoming a homemaker, she worked in the shipping department in the local garment industry and had a babysitting business at home. She was a faithful member of Bigbee Baptist Church. Very pleasant and outgoing, Mrs. Morgan loved helping others and would often sit with the elderly. Having a big heart, she adored her family, children and grandchildren. She enjoyed listening to gospel music, working crossword puzzles and doing find-a-word books.

A Celebration of Life Service was held Aig. 23 at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home in Amory with burial in Liberty Cemetery.

Survivors included her husband, Sidney Morgan of Aberdeen; son, Doug McCormick (Teresa) of Amory; brother, Bobby Cantrell (Elaine) of Hatley; grandchildren, Stacy Presley of Nettleton, D.J. McCormick of Amory, Taylor McCormick of Amory and Christy Phillips of Amory; great-grandchildren, Drake Pridmore and Lynnleigh Presley; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert B. "R.B." McCormick, and a son, Barry McCormick.
