no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
Sam Grady Stanford, 84, of Smithville, died June 3, 1987 at Gilmore Memorial Hospital after an extended illness. He was born in Monroe County and lived in the Pearce Chapel Community for the past 58 years. He was a member of the Pearce Chapel Freewill Baptist Church and a retired farmer. Services were June 5 at Pearce Chapel M. B. Church with burial in the church cemetery. Pickle Funeral Home had charge.
Survivors included his wife, Willie Raber Pearce Stanford of Smithville; five daughters, Maybelle Boswell of San Antonio, Tx., Sue Majors of Smithville, Marie Lackey of Belden, and Joyce Snow and Jean Palmer, both of Tupelo; one son, Harold Stanford of Fulton; four sisters, Lillie Vaughn of Hatley, Allie Mae Brasfield and Willie Tubb, both of Columbus, and Lottie Thompson of Alexandria, Ky.; 14 grandchildren and 16 great granchildren.
