Jesse like about 90% of all Reeves in the US are decendants of Robert Ryves b.1490 England through his gg grandson William Ryves, the first Reeves to come to America. This family is detailed exclusively in a book tilted Relics of Ryves.

jesse is most likely decended from this line through Jesse Reeves born between 1762 and 1764. Son of George Reeves and Jane Riddell. This is my best guess based on the information I know about the Reeves Line in Alabama and Mississippi.
