Ona Ruth Hester Stanford Enlow, 78, died on Aug. 27, 2010, at Care Center of Aberdeen. Born on May 7, 1932, in Monroe County, she was a daughter of the late James Ruble and Gladys Sanders Hester. She attended Nettleton High School. Mrs. Enlow worked as a dietitian at Beverly Manor and had previously owned and operated a restaurant in Russellville, Ala. She was a life-member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed quilting, crosstitching and canning. A sassy and outspoken Christian lady, she loved her grandchildren.

Services were at the E.E. Pickle Funeral Home with burial in Liberty Cemetery.

She is survived by her son, Glenn (Charlotte) Stanford of Amory; daughter, Brenda (Ronald) Sparks of Alabaster, Ala.; brother, Noland (Ann) Hester of Amory; sisters, Ann (Billy Wayne) Harlow of Amory and Sara (Robert) Nash of Hatley; sister-in-law, Linda Hester of Nettleton; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Bennie R. Stanford and Floy Enlow; son, Wade Stanford; sister, Betty Jo Stanford; and brother, Billy Hester.
