Ovie Lee Nabors Wells, 90, died July 24, 2009, at the Community Hospice at Darlington Oaks in Verona. She was born March 13, 1919, in Monroe County to Arthur and Leona Miller Nabors. She married Hershel Jack Wells in 1935; he died in 2007. She was a homemaker and a member of Christian Chapel Church of Christ. She enjoyed find-a-word puzzles, reading her Bible, and gardening. She was the last member of her immediate family.
Services were at the E.E. Pickle Funeral Home Chapel in Amory with burial in the New Hope Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 71 years; one daughter, Barbara Wells; one son, Jerry Wayne Wells; one grandson, Jon Wells; one sister, Estell Miller; and one brother, Otis Nabors.
