Lucian Fay Harrison, 86, died June 5, 2009, at the Gilmore Memorial Regional Medical Center in Amory. He was born May 26, 1923, in Hatley to the late Metro Arthur and Beatrice Belle Parham Harrison. He married Kathryn Lucy DeSalvo in 1957; she died in 1998. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War. He was a truck driver and he worked in automobile sales. Baptized at age 14, he was one of the founding members of the Amory Church of Christ. He enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, reading, traveling and his family, especially his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed helping others and being involved with his church family and activities.
Services were at the E.E. Pickle Funeral Home Chapel in Amory with burial in the Haughton Memorial Park. E.E. Pickle Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and five brothers and sisters, Frances Catherine Gregory Hendrix, Loy Harrison, James Harold Harrison, Clytee Harrison and Margaret Harrison.
