Tom,

According to my records Melon A. Bickerstaff is my G-G-Grandfather b. 1818 MS. (mother and father unknown)

He married Charlotte Gray b. 1818 (AL or GA) d. 14 May 1885 Bells TN. They had three sons:

Mitchell L. (Lucky ??)Bickerstaff b. 1836 Monroe Co. MS. d. 21 June 1918 ( a person by this name is buried in Union cemetery 1/2 mile North from Belden MS. b. 27 Sept 1836 d. 21 June 1918 recorded on headstone)

John Lucky Bickerstaff b. 15 Feb 1843 Decatur Ga/AL.???
d. 8 Nov 1919 Bells Tn. Married. Julia Alice Brown. b Jan 1853 Gibson AL, GA., or TN.. Both are buried, along with Charlotte Gray Bickerstaff, his mother,in Lawrence Cemetery Bells TN.
[I have John Lucky's death certificate and it states Melon A. and Charlotte b.MS., However, that may be a clerks error when recording the death certificate.]

Sanford Bickerstaff b. 1849. He was 1 year old in 1850 census records. No other info found on him. Family does not remember him at all.

Can your records verify the above..??? If not what resources do you have for Melon A. Bickerstaff b 1818 MS/AL/GA......???

Thanks for any help,

Lester Marvin Bickerstaff....wolfles@netzero.net
