Searching for my grandmother's family who might still live in MS. She was born in Sardis, MS 4/3/1897 and died in Memphis,TN 11/22/54. John JOY and Sally FLETCHER were her parents. The sibling names I have are Roosevelt, (found his line), Alonzo/Lonzo, John Jr., and Gertrude (Smith). She married James GOOCH of Oakland, MS and they had one child, (Janie Mae), and lived in the "West Junction" area of Memphis. Her sister Gertrude moved to Chicago, had two sons, James and Theadore (Teddy), from her marriage to a man named "BAMER SMITH". John Jr.'s wife's name was MAGGIE (?) and Alonzo/Lonzo's wife's name was JANIE V. GOOCH, they had one child that I know about, nicknamed Bunch. Can anyone offer any help about the JOY family of Mississipi? Will share what informaion I have.

Thanks a bunch
Lillie Fort
