My great-grandfather was John Fewell, also in the Civil War. He was a lawyer in Meridien, Miss. after the war. His wife was, I believe, (Mary Olivia) Letitia Gaines Fewell and they had at least 6 children. I knew of Olivia, my grandmother, and 2 sisters, Nell, and Lucy (who moved to Los Angeles around 1910). We have not found out too much more about the Fewell background, except we believe J.F. may have been from northern VA. My brother is John Fewell Patton, and he is the only Fewell I have every heard of. We do have pictures of my great-grandfather. I'd like to know more also.
