Still searching for info on my gg-grandfather William C. FREEMAN, b. 1833 in MS. He was living in Lincoln Co. in 1859-1876. (His family MAY have been the John and Mary[SMITH] FREEMAN family who lived in various counties in MS at various times [Amite, Copiah, Franklin, and Lincoln] throughout the 1800s.) He married Martha L. SIRMAN, daughter of Peter SIRMAN, in 1866. They moved to I.T. in 1876 by wagon train. It is possible that both the FREEMANs and the SIRMANs were Choctaws. William C.'s land joined with Peter SIRMAN's in Lincoln Co. If anyone can help me, please, let me know.
