Hi Nina, I don't if there is any relation, but thought I would try. I know my father ( Earl Thad Fortenberry) is a descendant of someone from Spain and I'm not at all sure of the name. My GG grandfather was from Spain. I am of African American descent and I have 2 brothers who have a different mother from me.
I was told my fathers mother was either a Tippen or Pippen (not sure which one) and she was from Texas. I have yet to retrieve my fathers death certificate, but he died in June of 1984 in San Francisco, Ca. My brother gave me this info and I just wanted to know if we could link the info to see if it matched somehow. Thanks in advance.
