Henry, Jamea, and Jonathan Thomas NC to MS 1811
Henry, James, & Jonathan Thomas NC to MS by 1811
I am looking for male descendants of Michael Thomas of Bladen Co. North Carolina who would carry his Y-chromosome.He had three sons: Henry, James, and Jonathan. These sons had moved, to what eventually became Augusta, Greene Co. Mississippi by 1811
I think I am descended from son Henry Thomas. Both he and his son William had sons listed on the 1820 Census who could have been born in 1817, the year my great-grandfather Isaac Thomas was born in Augusta MS.Probably the only way I’ll be able to prove it is by Y-chromosome DNA analysis [I have already had mine analyzed], unless there are some records I haven‘t yet found.I am willing to pay for that analysis for the first proven male-Thomas-line descendant of Michael Thomas who contacts me.
Son Henry Thomas moved to that part of Greene Co. that became Perry Co., then moved to that part of Yazoo County that became Madison County MS.He may have died before 1840.Henry had at least one son: William.
Son James and wife Bridget Lea moved to that part of Greene Co. that became Perry Co., then to Marion Co. MS, then later moved to St. Tammany Parish LA.James had sons Charles, James, and Leroy [possibly others].
Son Jonathan Thomas and wife Katherine McAlpin moved to that part of Greene Co. that became Perry Co., then to Yazoo Co, MS.Jonathan and Katy had sons John, James, Michael, Henry, Malcolm, Daniel, David, and Uriah.
If you know of descendants of these men, please contact me at [email protected].
