Margie,
I'm not related to this line, however, I have two White lines (who married each other but were not related-my paternal gr grandparents)so I know how frustrating they can be.
To add to the other poster's census info.
1850 Blount Co, AL census (I'm pretty sure this is your Albert)
Pg 188 (looks like 181 but is 188) - Pg 16 in ancestry.com
84-85
Elbert (Albert) White age 26 b. 1823-24 AL
Jane (Narcissa) White age 24 b. 1825-26 AL
Sarah (Sarah E) White age6 b. 1843-44 AL
Nathan (Newton) White age4 b. 1845-46 AL
William (Wm Wesley)White age2 b. 1847-48 AL
NOTE: 1850 Blount Co, AL census shows a number of men who are old enough to be Albert's father, since early census records record his birth yr as 1824-25, instead of 1820.
They are:
Lewis White b. 1801 NC (wife Sophia b. 1806 SC)
Alabama Marriages show Lewis m. Sophia Cowan on 9/17/1828 in Blount Co, AL
Burgus (Burgess?) White b. 1806 SC (wife Nancy b. 1809 AL)
1860 Kemper Co, MS census
NOTE:This census shows him about 5 yrs younger than the 1880 census does.He is transcribed as AlF instead of AlB
Pg 83 (pg 33 in ancestry.com)
223-223

Margaretage4 b. 1855-56 MS
1870 No census records found for Albert's family.
I also found your Newton M White in 1880.He is transcribed as "WM White" in ancestry.com however, the original sheet shows a very open N, which does make it look like a W
1880 Beat 3, Monroe Co, MS
Pg 34B

WM (NM) White age 34 b. 1845-46 ALParents: MS MS

Hopefully this info along with the later census records posted by the other poster will help you out.
