Searching for a link that Issac John Jones b. abt. 1796 in Tennessee is the father of my ggrandfather, Thomas Absom Jones b. 1848 in Ms. Issac was married to Mary Polly Jones #1 wife(1811-1845)then married wife #2 Sarah ? in 1850 in Ms. Sarah's last name could have been Green.
Children of Issac:
William b. abt. 1831 in Alabama
James b. abt 1833 in Mississippi
George b. abt 1835 in Mississippi
Van Buren b. abt. 1837 in Mississippi
Sarah b. abt. 1839 in Mississippi
Icy M. b. abt 1841 in Mississippi
Mary b. abt 1843 in Mississippi
Peter Fredrick b. abt 1845 in MIssissippi
Thomas b. abt 1847 in MIssissippi
Alex Edgar Jones b. abt 1869
Issac could possibly had other wives, because the birth date of some of the children and death date of wives do not match exactly.
Peter Fredrick and older brother William came to Texas (Limestone County) as early as 1860.
Thomas Abson lived most of his life in Limestone County. He died in 1918 and is buried in King's Cemetery in Thornton, Tx.
