NO Relation...
I don't really have an answer to your post. But I did try to do a lookup for you on databases that I have that include more "book" type items. Many times I had to resort to just search for the Bell surname in Elbert County. The earliest mention I ever found of Asmond was info on his marriage.
Below is what I found.

Edna Ann BellWilton Arnold

there were other hits here, but so many and many of the hits had to do with finding Elbert rather than Bell, that it was just too hard (with dial-up service) to view all the results.THis book may be something you'd want to look into yourself.
I found DAR info on :

I also came across other titles (doing a book search on google) such as:
*The Descendants of William Moseley, 1605/1606-1655 of Norfolk, Va
*Key and allied families
*Elbert County, GA by Aurolyn Melba Hamm
*a Genealogy of the Bell family in America by Henry W Bell
*Georgia Pioneers Genealogical Magazine By Mary Carter (one hit for this book showed an Asmond Enoch Bell)
If you're interested in any of these books, I suggest you look at the LDS catalog and see if they have them for rent (in film or fiche form). One website I use for books like these to purchase is bookfinders.com
Or you can also go onto google and find the titles I show above.
There was also a person surnamed MOSLEY who has info posted on Rootsweb Worldconnect.I found her by searching for info on Thomas Bell who m. Elizabeth Key.
Because of the time frame and lack of records, it might just be the only way your going to tie Asmond to parents is to go the long way about it and check out those in Elbert County who would have been old enough to have been a parent to him, and follow that person or couple through until their death then look for items such as estate files or deeds that would mention heirs.Deeds would be a great source for such a journey especially if there are no estate proceedings that names heirs. They would show heirs and spouses, and in many cases if an heir dies before their parent, their spouse and surviving children may be named.
I wish you all the best of luck. You've got a hard search to find this elusive ancestor. The time frame is a big obstacle to you here.
