1910 Louisiana Census, Winn Parish, Wd. 5 listed Stephen W. Garner as aged 55 years, b. abt. 1855 in MS, spouse: Allice, fbp: Georgia, mbp: MS, married, white, household members: William, Anah, Bula, Donal. Note: listed all last names as "Gamer". (census taker misspelled the last name and some of the names of the children...interestingly though it listed Alice's father as born in Georgia...not Alabama as her death cert. stated)
Josephine Garner/Stroud was the daughter of Stephen William and Alice Lot/Garner of the Crews Community in southern Winn Parish.
They had relocated to Winn Parish circa 1882 from Lawrence County, Mississippi, along with all his brothers and his sister.
