Sue: There is a possible link between your RHODES folk and my BENNICK and NOBLE folk in Walker County, Texas before the turn of the century. Was one of /were any ofyour RHODES men Methodist preachers? A RHODES appears once on a censusin the Rev. A.R. BENNICK household. Was RHODES an itinerate preacher staying with the BENNICKs?The BENNICKS had a house full of pretty girls, but that's another story.
I'm also interested in the NOBLE cemetery referenced in one of your posts. Our brick wall is the parentage of John W. NOBLE b. ca. 1840.John W. NOBLE married Mary Jane DUBARD with MS connections, but he died in the Civil War.Did one of your RHODES with a NOBLE in tow go West with the DUBARD clan (date unknown) before the war?
