Eunice Davis was b/abt 1857 in Louisiana. I don't know where she met and married Mr. Stegall but it was bef 1876 and he died before the 1880 census.
Eunice (Davis) Stegall was living with her father in Mississippi in the 1880 census as a widow with her two children Nelson Stegall b/1876 MS and Emma Lou Stegall b/1879 MS.
Nelson Stegall never married, in each census he is living with various family members. 1880 w/mother at his g-parents A.N. & Delila Davis in mississippi; in 1910 he is with his mother and she is again widowed from a Mr. Alexander in Henderson Co, TX; 1920 finds him w/Eunice Alexander and his sister Emma and her husband Dave J. (john david) Shelby also in Henderson Co, TX; in 1930 he is living with Charles Davis b/MS in Henderson Co, Tx as a b-i-l.
Emma Lou Stegall married John David Shelby in 1897 poss Smith Co, TX; they are in Bell Co, Tx in 1900 w/1 yr old dau Jewell Belle Shelby; in 1910 & 1920 they are in Henderson and 1930 they live in Waco, McLennan Co, TX with the following children:Jewel Bell, Jesse Lee (f); Loyce Elmer (m), Ester Lloyd (m); Clinton Lorrain; Vernice I (f)and Goldene Estelle (f). Emma and David Shelby are buried in Rosemound Cem, Waco, TX
