I am hoping someone can help me. I am looking for a marriage record for a Burl James b. abt 1844-46 m. Margaret James, Kellum, McLemore around Calhoun co, MS . Probably sometime before 1872.
I have Burret T James (I beleive it is supposed to be Burrell or Burl)James in the 1870 Calhoun co, MS census with wife Margaret. They have 2 children, John James and Dora Manda James b. March 1872. Then in the 1880 Calhoun co, MS census Margaret has now married a Dave Kellum. We have this info from an ancestors handwritten note. The note then says Margaret married a McLemore. Again I beleive it took place in Calhoun co, MS.
I am just trying to find the whereabouts of Dora (Manda) James parent's after 1870.
Any help would be apprecaited. I have hit a brick wall.
