re: White's of Mississippi
S.H. White, age 28, originally came from North Carolina and was listed as a merchant in the listing of Kansas Territorial Settlers of 1860.Film 653, Microfilm Roll no. 349, 1860, Kansas, Douglas County, page 170, City of LeCompton, dwelling no. 1398 showed S. H. , Martha, and 3 children.All children had been born in Mississippi and the note of immigration was from Missouri.
Martha White, his wife, age 34, was originally from South Carolina. They had married about 1853. Martha Ann had been born in Douglas County, LeCompton township.

The 1870 Census (M593, Roll 746), Township Eleven, County of Pontotoc, Ms., Post office Redmond, line 15, dwelling no. 225, shows Martha White, age 38 as a housekeeper with the children only.
Any help with these White family members would be appreciated.I have much information on the Woodsons already.
