Henry D Morgan

I am looking for information on Henry D Morgan, a plantation owner. I believe he died during or immediately following the Civil War and I also believe his plantation was in or near Pontotoc County, Mississippi. He was a merchant. He was born in either NC, SC, or GA. He was orphaned as a small child and was raised, in part, by two slaves, Jack and Polly, whom the family took with them following the Civil War. It was said that his plantation was divided among the slaves. His youngest son was A J (Adoniram Judson) Morgan, my great-grandfather. A J was born in 1856 in Mississippi. I was told there was an older brother, J T, and two sisters whom they called Carrie and Taline(sp?). Any information on this family would be greatly appreciated.
