I'm trying to find any information on Seth R. Scott, my wife's GG Grandfather. I have no birth/death dates or places for this ancestor, though likely he was born early 1800's and in Mississippi I think. His wife was Mary Emily Allen, and their was son Singleton Scott, my wife's Great Grandfather. His son was James Seth Scott, my wife's grandfather. This Scott line was in central Mississippi, my wire's father was born in Lake Como, near Bay Springs, Jasper County.
An elderly uncle tells us that Seth R. Scott was a confederate soldier who fought at Gettysburg, PA. during the Civil War and died of fever.
Any help anyone could give would be greatly appreciated.
