Sue sorry that information was confusing. but Harry Smith married Ethel Avion they were from AR. and AL. trying to find outh about them also. Elvin Harris was married to Meady. her maden name was Henley. looks like you found alote of information on Elvin Harris. supposley he had 13 sisters and 2 brothers. his dad William last name was change for awhile to Henley or Hezekiah. and William father name supposley was John Wankins or Harris. There are rumers about why they went by these names. But if you can find these men that would be very wonderful. Elvin mother name was Alice and dont know what happen to her frist husband but I think his name was Tam or something like that. Last name Todd. But guess Alice married Roberts.I think Nancy Jackson was Alice mother. So if the William H. Harris could of been Alice father? The other William J. Harris coul be related. I know that Elvin Harris did have a sister also name Meady also. Crazy I know. Very confusing. I know. They really didnt keep very good records or track of people back then. Most couldnt read or write. Some of these people were Indian. Back then not allowed to make that know. So didnt even have Birth records or Death records. So some probley will never be found. Hard to fill in gaps in family tree. Well thanks for all the information and your time. If you come across anything else. I will truely be greatful if you pass it on. june
