Can you identtify the parentage of both Mr. Johnson and Miss Sumrall. Thomas Sumrall, Sr., and wife Ann came into Marion Co ca 1812. Many of their children followed them but did not remain in the county for the rest of their lives. It was more common for the daughter to marry in Marion and remain there while the sons would move not only to other counties but other states. Descendants of this Thomas Sumrall may be found in Perry, Clarke Cos., MS., among others. Good luck. mbm
